Mission
To develop an outstanding, honorable clinician/practitioner, researcher and
teacher capable of providing international standards of medical care and
following medical ethics. To advance the knowledge base of medicine by
developing and encouraging scientific research. To disseminate knowledge through
continuing education of our students, graduates faculty and colleagues.
The mission of the school is To promote outstanding programs of medical care to
serve society and to promote environmental development. To maintain the
atmosphere of co-operation, peer relation and mutual respect in the university
society. To encourage and to foster the individual creativity in the university
society.
Knowledge (Intellectual)
By completion of the undergraduate medical
education the student should:
- Know the normal structure, function,
development and growth of the human body and mind.
- Identify the disorders of structure,
function, development and growth of the human body and mind that occur as a
result of ill-health
- Recognize the appropriate measures (promotive,
preventive, curative and rehabilitation) that can be used to identify and
solve the health problems of individuals, families and communities.
Skills (Practice)
By completion of the undergraduate medical
education the student should be able to:
- Collect, record and interpret competently
data about the health needs of individuals, families and communities.
- Assess correctly the health problems of
individuals, families and communities
- Utilize appropriate measures (promotive,
preventive and curative) in the solution of health problems of individuals,
families and communities.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in
written with patients, patients’ families, colleagues, and others with whom
physicians must exchange information.
- Search and critically evaluate literature
about health matters
Attitudes (Communication)
By completion of the undergraduate medical
education the student should be
- Able to maintain honesty and integrity in
all interactions with patients, patient’s families, colleagues, and others
with whom physicians must interact in their professional lives.
- Able to value and respect all patients’
privacy and dignity, with an understanding of their needs and their families’
needs at the time of death.
- Committed to provide care to patients who
are unable to pay and to advocate for access to health care for members of
undeserved populations.
- Aware of the scope and limits of his role
and the necessity to seek and use regularly the collaboration of other health
workers.
- Ready to educate, motivate, supervise and
lead other health workers in health promotion and the prevention and treatment
of disease
- Responsible towards work and calmness in
emergency situations
- Able to adapt to change
- Able to acquire further medical education
